One limitation here is that lightning is harder to conceptualize than normal blockchain payments (especially on-top of normal blockchain payments). It also has to compete with newer blockchain systems that can already handle thousands of transactions and don’t have the 10 minute lag.

I wonder if the scale will matter? Will bitcoin slowly fade?
